BNP Paribas has scooped three awards in the 2017 Profit & Loss Digital FX Awards, named one of the stand-out banks providing e-FX while its Centric platform was commended by judges for its design and ease of use.

Winning the Editor’s Choice, Best Execution and Client Experience awards, the bank was praised for its Centric product, which allows clients to seamlessly customise user experience to suit their needs and build their own interface from a series of apps.

Judges called Centric “an excellent solution” and claimed to be “genuinely excited by some of the ideas coming out of places like BNP Paribas”. The voice recognition software and execution services were particularly celebrated, along with the platform’s inbuilt scalability to allow it to grow with new functions and regulations.

“The beauty of BNP Paribas’ platform is the original design, which was scalable and flexible and ignored silos,” the panel said, noting the new management and regulatory tools that have been added in the last two years. “It is easy to add products to a platform; properly embedding them without upsetting the status quo is harder, but BNP has achieved it.”

“As workflow tools go, Centric is the epitome of a well-designed platform that is easy to move around, fits together really well and, most importantly, offers workflow solutions that clients not only use, but also benefit greatly from.”

Audrey Jadin, Centric Product Manager at BNP Paribas commented: “We’ve invested a lot in order to improve the customer experience and try to customise the platform so it fits the needs of all our corporate and institutional clients. We make sure we have a coherent journey on the platform, covering the whole life of the transaction, from pre-trade to trade, to post-trade.

“The awards are a reward, but for us customer experience is key.”
