Julien Lascar inducted to Hall of Fame and accolades received for Best Issuer Italy and Best Issuer France.

After two highly successful years of hosting events in Canada and the US, the SPi Conference and Awards have been expanded to Europe this year.

BNP Paribas clinched three prestigious awards at the inaugural 2024 European SPi Awards for Excellence, recognising its exceptional performance in the structured product space.

It won the following awards:

BNP Paribas beat off stiff competition to win the ‘Best Issuer Italy’ award, showcasing its unmatched expertise in the Italian market.  With its extensive coverage of underlyings and payoffs, BNP Paribas has consistently demonstrated innovation and excellence, setting new standards in the industry. This award is a testament to its’ unwavering commitment to delivering exceptional value to clients and navigating the complexities of the Italian market with finesse.

Best Issuer France

BNP Paribas was honoured with the ‘Best Issuer France’ award for its commanding presence in the French market.  This esteemed accolade is a testament to its’ exceptional performance in 2023, marked by the successful maturity of its products. Additionally, its’ dedication to innovation shines through in its diverse range of underlyings and payoffs, showcasing the bank’s commitment to delivering cutting-edge solutions to its clients.

Hall of Fame – Julien Lascar

The highlight of the awards ceremony, which took place in Lisbon, was Julien Lascar, Global Head of EQD Institutional and Distribution Sales at BNP Paribas, being inducted into the SPi Hall of Fame. This recognition is reserved for those who have made significant contributions to the profession and served the structured product industry with distinction over a long period.  Julien’s two decades of experience in financial markets and derivatives products, coupled with his numerous management positions at BNP Paribas and Société Générale, made him a deserving recipient of this honour.
