BNP Paribas’ position at the forefront of the electronic foreign exchange (eFX) markets has won yet more industry recognition this week, as the bank’s CORTEX trading platform won two top accolades from leading industry publication FX Week:

  •   Most Innovative Bank eFX Trading Platform
  •   Bank Algorithmic Trading Technology Provider of the Year

FX Week’s annual eFX Awards recognise the world’s most advanced market participants in the electronic forex space, whether from banks, brokers, vendors or buy-side institutions. They put the spotlight on how innovation is the crucial differentiator in one of the most competitive and dynamic markets in the world.

“Our algorithms now give live feedback during execution, allowing clients to interact directly and adjust their strategy”

With clients increasingly adopting algorithmic FX trading, access to data and artificial intelligence (AI) tools can mean an edge in strategy – not only ahead of trading, but even while in the middle of execution.

“Clients have become more sophisticated: they’re asking more complex questions and now want more sophisticated tools to help them in their execution,” explains Nick Hamilton, Head of EMEA eFX Sales at BNP Paribas Global Markets, speaking to FX Week. “They want to be able to see what is happening when an algo is running. They want real time feedback.”

According to Asif Razaq, Global Head of FX Automated Client Execution, CORTEX has pushed the limits of what is possible in intelligent execution. “Building on the reputation we have established in FX, we now have a platform to unify the iX branding and combine our expertise across all asset classes.”
