An unmatched range of financing solutions
Recognised as The World’s Best Investment Bank for Financing Solutions, Euromoney stated that “few banks in 2025 could match the range of financing solutions BNP Paribas delivered for clients.”
They highlighted that “from nuclear project finance in the UK to leveraged buyouts in France, from ECA-backed green steel in Sweden to battery manufacturing in Morocco, the bank operated across every financing product, every credit profile and every geography where sophisticated capital was required – and led or co-led the defining transaction in most of them.”

❝ These awards recognise BNP Paribas’ support to its clients at decisive moments, whether they are financing growth, transforming their business models or navigating complex market conditions. They also reflect the relevance of our diversified and integrated model as well as the dedication of all our teams across regions. ❞
The Bank’s positions across project finance, export finance, aviation and shipping reflect a “platform with origination, structuring and distribution capability that operates competitively against every institution in the world across infrastructure-heavy financing categories.”
The editors also noted that, in EMEA, BNP Paribas ranked first in the loan bookrunner table with a 7.6% market share across 342 transactions. They applauded the Bank’s capability on “the most complex event-driven mandates in Europe while defending volume leadership in plain vanilla refinancings requires a capital markets platform with genuine depth across both dimensions.”
A go-to partner in sustainable finance
Named The World’s Best Bank for Sustainable Finance, BNP Paribas reinforces its position as a go-to partner and sets a new standard as a reference bank for sustainable finance.

❝ Being named “World’s Best Bank for Sustainable Finance” by the Euromoney Awards for Excellence 2026 is above all a recognition of the extensive work our teams lead with our clients to make our economy more sustainable. At BNP Paribas, sustainability is embedded into the core of our business: in the past four years alone, we’ve mobilised 252 billion euros to support the low-carbon transition, contributing to the creation of long-lasting value. ❞
Euromoney particularly applauded “the strength of numbers few peers can match, topping league tables in 2025 globally for all ESG (GSSS) bonds, green bonds, sustainability-linked bonds and loans, and ESG fixed income revenue” while the editors singled out the key to BNP Paribas’ positioning: “The bank’s success is not just about volume but also about consistency across products and increasingly complex transactions.”
BNP Paribas was also highly commended for its impact-driven innovation in the European Green Bonds market as “the only bank delivering the first European green bond solutions across every issuer segment” and for being one of the first banks to clearly define its contribution to safeguarding the Ocean’s future and to foster resilient blue economy projects worldwide.
Euromoney noted: “What sets BNP Paribas apart is not the scale of any single number but the way scale, breadth and execution reinforce each other.”
In addition to the global award, the Group was also recognised for its sustainable finance leadership in Europe, India and Latin America.
An investment banking reference in EMEA
BNP Paribas was named Best Investment Bank in EMEA, reflecting the trust placed in its teams by clients “in a year defined by tariff shocks, geopolitical fragmentation and sharp bouts of market volatility.” Euromoney recognised that: “From equity capital markets to debt issuance, sustainability finance and strategic advisory, the bank demonstrated the breadth and depth of a platform genuinely operating at the top of the European market.”
After a robust 2025 for European M&A, momentum accelerated in the first six months of 2026, when the Bank advised on more than EUR230 billion in announced volumes in EMEA, positioning BNP Paribas as the only non-US bank in the regional top 3 (and top 5).
The editors stated that “advisory performance reinforced the cross-product proposition” and noted that “the equity capital markets record was arguably the most striking. BNP Paribas led 77 transactions across EMEA to claim first place in deal count among all bookrunners, with Bloomberg designating the firm as the region’s leading IPO house for the year.”
A European leader in Securities Services
Among the regional accolades, BNP Paribas was also recognised as Europe’s Best for Securities Services, highlighting the strength of its asset servicing franchise and its role as a long-term partner for leading financial institutions worldwide. Recognised by Euromoney for the third year running, stating that “the numbers tell their own story for BNP Paribas in 2025”, Securities Services is the only European custodian in the global top 5, with EUR 14.3 trillion in assets under custody, EUR 3.2 trillion in assets under administration (as of March 2026) and 195.8 million settled transactions in 2025.
Euromoney acknowledged that Securities Services’ business model, “global in reach, multi-local in execution and deliberately diversified across buy and sell-side clients, public and private assets proved its resilience across the full year”, enabled the Bank to achieve “the strongest performance across the entire industry, and by a wide margin.”
A partner for clients’ transformation
Together, the 20 Euromoney Awards for Excellence received this year reflect the breadth of BNP Paribas’ expertise and the relevance of its client-focused model. From sustainable finance and financing solutions to securities services, the Bank supports clients’ strategic priorities across sectors and geographies, with a clear ambition to build on today’s momentum and continue investing in the teams, capabilities and solutions that will shape long-term client relationships.
